How to Book Accommodation at Dormy House

  1. How to book
    • Please contact our Bookings Department by phone on 01253 724206, or e-mail at
    • A non-returnable deposit is required to confirm a booking. Any reduction in numbers must be advised at least fourteen days prior to arrival and the final balance is payable fourteen days prior to arrival.
  2. Important information
    • Room description
      Accommodation is available for upto 16 guests in single rooms.  There are six bathrooms and two shower rooms but no en-suite facilities.  There is a disabled toilet and shower room as well as disabled access.  The rooms have computer points and (free) wireless network access.
    • Tees Times
      Tee times are reserved each day between 8.00 - 8.30 and 14.00 - 14.30 but may vary on a Saturday if there is a Members Competition.  Play is from the Green Tee Markers (for Men) and Orange Tee Markers (for Ladies). First Tee starts only.
    • Procedure on arrival
      Upon arrival at the Club you should first check in at the Dormy House where you will be advised of the procedure for key pad access to the Clubhouse, Dormy House and Visitors Locker Room. Rooms are available from 12.30 and you must check in not later than 20.00 or, if dinner is required, not later than 19.30. The last sitting for dinner is 20.00. Check out time is 9.00. Guests failing to observe these times will be unable to check in, or dine, as appropriate, but will be obliged to pay for the full reservation made.
    • Trolleys and Caddies
      Trolleys can be hired from the Professional's Shop. A limited number of caddies are available but only by prior arrangement with the Professional's Shop on 01253 724206. Buggies are not permitted on the Championship Course.
    • Dining
      All meals including Continental Breakfast are served in the Clubhouse dining room. The Clubhouse closes at midnight.
    • Security
      The Club is not liable for the property of Visitors. Please look after your property at all times and ensure that valuables are not left unattended in cars. A key operated lockers is made available to all Dormy Guests.
  3. What we expect from you
    • When playing at Royal Lytham you have a responsibility to behave in a manner that does not spoil the enjoyment of other Visitors or Members of the Club.
  4. Etiquette and Slow Play
    • We understand that every golfer does not play to the same standard or at the same speed. It is most inconsiderate to hold up players behind you and to do so would ruin their day. PLEASE CALL THEM THROUGH. A Fourball should take no longer than 4 hours.
    • Our bunkers are very difficult even when properly raked - unraked bunkers can be virtually impossible . Please do not leave a bunker without raking it.
    • Help us to keep the Course in fine condition: please replace divots and repair pitch marks.
  5. Dress and Mobile Phones
    • Golf shoes are required on the Course but are not permitted upstairs in the Clubhouse. Trainers are not permitted on the Course or in the Clubhouse. Smart tailored shorts with acceptable knee length golfing socks are permitted on the Course but not upstairs in the Clubhouse. Trousers must be smart. Denim jeans and track suits are not permitted on the Course or in the Clubhouse. Shirts must be smart and have collars and sleeves. Shirts must be worn inside the trousers or shorts. Hats and outerwear are not permitted upstairs in the Clubhouse. Jackets and Ties are required for Dinner. Ladies Shorts must be knee length and short skirts are not permitted.
      The use of mobile phones is not permitted on the Courses, the practice facilities or in the Clubhouse.
